average at best. a few days before our trip I received an email offering express check in which would allow us to avoid going to the front desk, would just have to enter our info into a kiosk to get or room keys, so I did it, and received an email from Rio saying my express check in had been received.

upon arriving 11:30pm and using the kiosk, it said our room was not ready, I would get an email when it was ready. after 1/2 hour and no email I got into the long line at the front desk. only 2 people were working the front desk so it took a loong time for my turn. when it was finally my turn I was told they had no info of my express check in.

I showed them the confirmation email I received but was told again they had no info (was later told by a different staff member that they have trouble with the express check in, sometimes it does not go through) anyhow, finally got our room, and upon entering the room, the room was not very clean, the furniture was beat up (see pic) and the curtain rod/drapes were hanging down, torn off the wall (see pic) so could not close the drapes which would let the sun blast us well before we wanted to get up. I called front desk, they said they'd send someone up but it was now well after midnight and we wanted to sleep, so we agreed to deal with it in the morning. In the morning on our way out for the day I called the front desk again about the curtains and was told it would be taken care of. we said nothing about the room not being very clean, figured it would be better after housekeeping came.

when we returned at the end of the day the curtain rod/drapes had not been fixed, still hanging, and though the bed was made the rest of the room was still not cleaned well, the phone was filthy, counters & tables dirty etc. called the front desk again, was told there was no record of our request to fix the curtain rod/drapes. it took 2 more phone calls and another day before it was finally fixed.

also had to complain to housekeeping to get the room cleaned to our satisfaction. I would not stay here again, its average at best and the staff is not very helpful and not very friendly either.

Theft in staff

We checked in on 5/13/2023 went to sleep. On 5/14/2023 we woke up and headed for the pool it opened at 10am we stayed at pool a hour or so then went changed and went out to the strip when we returned around 6:00 to our room we noticed housekeeping had been in there and made the bed changed the TP and took a magazine we then noticed my husbands wallet was missing with all of our cards his ID and $4800 cash.

We immediately got a hold of hotel staff and they sent us to hotel security.

We then spoke to them filled out a report and they informed me I needed to call las Vegas police to fill a report with them when police finally showed up we did a report with them and were told by hotel security that management would compensate since we had nothing. Hotel staff was very rude we waited for over a hour to talk to manager he never came out so we went back to our room It was a huge ordeal and we checked out on the 16th and nothing has been done at all for us we had to spend the last 2 days of our trip basically in our room with nothing to eat/drink our trip was ruined and never got even a apology and were told someone would be contacting us and still no one has and it's 5/17/23

Still have not heard back from the hotel after leaving messages and emails and filling out lost and found report online. Very disappointed.

Why did the Bell Desk Men eat my delivered order

I ordered a coffee and Apple fritter from Dunkin Donuts to be delivered to my room and they would not do it. It was left at Bell Desk and they ate my food, had the nerve to tell me that they gave it to a homeless person. This is unacceptable, when I went down there they were rude and were smiling.

Horrible customer service

I was given a pet floor room through the kiosk without knowing until I got to the room and dogs wouldnt stop barking in the connecting room next door. Went to the front desk to see if we could get a different room, manager was very Rude told me there wasnt any other rooms available and that it was my fault for booking on a pet floor.

I complained and got evicted for complaining and expressing my concerns when he did not try to accommodate or even apologize for the inconvenience. I got evicted at 11pm without a refund .

First my room is an eyesore. The curtains are dirty and stained.

The sofa cushions and arms are nasty. I have taken a few pictures of the dirty surfaces. A cabinet door fell on my foot last night. It was very heavy and hurt.

It did scrape and break the skin a little. My ankle did swell a little but the manager never came to see if I was ok.

They sent security to look at it but I have never seen or spoken to a manager to at least put me at ease that they care. The cabinet still hasnt been fixed

User's recommendation: I love the property and size of the rooms but it definitely needs a good cleaning and upgraded furniture. The also need a more attentive staff.

Bad customer service rented a room at the Rio on August 6, 2021 till August 7, 2021 August 7 was my birthday went to the rio in Las Vegas my booking was for $151 went to the kiosk got tired of waiting in line after 2 1/2 hours at 3:30 in the afternoon 107 outside at the kiosk you asked me if I wanted to upgrade to $158 Before I clicked OK I asked and employee is this how much the price is going to be and she said yes so I clicked on it the room was dirty lipstick on the master bath mirror the lights do not work in the living room bathroom broken door in the fridge raider broken cabinet door Girlfriend got stabbed in the leg with a knife that was in the cushion in the master bathroom bedroom master bedroom trash in the garbage cans the elevator key was on the 20th floor did not work all the time very poor service did not appreciate parking garage was filthy walking down the hallway to the parking garage in the Casino area smells like *** from sewer will never stay at the real will never use Booking.com And they charge my credit card $361 ones for $112 once for $248 that does not match Booking.com had to fight it get my money still havent received it were not recommend this place or anybody to stayrefrigerator was at

My name is Kitt Crenshaw Sr, I'm a retired Police Officer now living in Henderson. I've have been a resident here for 8 years and avid visitor and patron of your hotels and casinos. This past Sunday April 15th I purchased tickets for the "Penn & Teller" show at the Rio. I purchased tickets for my Uncle Ron, Wife Reiko and myself. Your ticket receptionist was very professional and a pleasure to work with. She arranged 3 tickets for Monday night's show with minutes. The following day Monday April 16th I became ill and was unable to attend, I contacted the box office at the Rio, once again this receptionist was very professional and pleasant. She understood my situation and changed the name on the tickets to my wife Reiko Merritt-Crenshaw. The receptionist explained that my wife needed her ID, credit card and just in case, suggested that she also bring my credit card that I purchased the tickets with. No problem, she even suggested to arrive early (8:pm) for the jazz entertainment prior to the show. Great Suggestion...!

My uncle and wife drive the Rio for the show and arrive about 8:00 PM, once at the box office, she presented her ID the ticket agent Manuel Avalos..? found the tickets under her name, but explained he needed the manager to print them. Manuel said that manager was on the floor and this would take 15 minutes. No problem, my uncle and wife waited at the box office. During this time people are arriving receiving tickets and entering the theater. While waiting my wife explains that Manuel was concerned while working, texting or messaging the his manager. 8:15, no manager. Manuel explains, He's still on the floor, another 5 minutes go by, now my wife is a little troubled and asked to speak with someone in charge. Manuel was unsure of his supervisor's name, he replied Pablo...???, no last name. Now it's 8:20, hundreds of people have waited inline and entered. So, at this point my wife and uncle are about done with this situation, she request a refund. Manuel, bewildered and and dumbfounded at this point can't do anything. No manger and no supervisor....! Approximately, 8:25 Samuel Alvario..??? comes out of the backroom, doesn't apologize or offer any remedy. He then ask my wife to step aside, no explanation for the delay, no consideration for the time. Just unprofessional and unexpected mishandling of this incident.

This incident was extremely unprofessional and poor example of customer service, this situation could've simply been handled by competent trained staff, I don't understand, the tickets were there, the name change was documented, ID, and credit cards valid.

I have been customer of your properties for many years, as well as many of my professional colleagues in law enforcement. At this point I cannot recommend or suggest to anyone patronize or frequent any of your establishments.

Checked in found something in bathroom vent. Changed rooms that room had same problem changed again this room ok.

Rude front Concierge desk employee. I asked where tour shuttle arrived and was pointed in three directions.

I ask " where are you pointing to" and she replyed there, there, and there.

I dont know where there is. Ruined my birthday morning..l

The Conciege was rude. We had a tour on my birthday May 14 2017 and Mothers Days We did not know where the pick up was and elected to ask the Conciege for help finding the hotel pick up location.

I asked and she answer here here and here pointing to three directions. I was shocked she was that rude when we stayied polite. Then she stood there angry. I feel we were not not properly compensated .

We were a black family with my mself and father in law disabled.

We spent the morning looking for the bus. I feel my birthday was ruined and got nothing in return.

I went to the pool bar to order drinks for my family and friends. The bartender, Steve pretended like I didn't exist.

He took all the customers around me instead. After watching as customers that came after me get served. I knew that I was being discriminated. After I finally got my drinks, I didn't leave a tip for the horrible service.

The bartender then called me out on it in front of all the other customers. This is unacceptable.

Rio Hotel,Las Vegas-Lousy service

A recent visit to Las Vegas and a couple of nights in the Rio destroyed all previous OK visits.

first we were kept waiting in line to check in for almost an hour - on a Wednesday evening. After having to quit the registration, because it was in my name (I was still on my way to the hotel) the manager cleared us on the reservation by phone and I was told to have my wife and 2 1/2 year-old grand-daughter go the "Check-out" counter by the manager for expedited handling. They stood ingored for nearly a half an hour and were then sent to a standard room - I had reserved a Premium - but by this time they were "out" of Premium rooms.

Then, I paid an additional fee to allow us a 4PM checkout and they began harassing us to get out at 2.

Last time I will stay there or any associated property.
